Russian Visa

Notice for applicants for Russian visa

General requirements:

1. Completed application form.
2. Valid passport & copies of its critical information pages.
3. Chinese citizens: copy of identification card (Taiwanese: PRS travel permit & copies of its critical information pages).
   Foreigners: Chinese valid visa or residence permit & its copy.
4. One 45 X 35 mm photo (white background, without head-dress).

According to the purpose of visit it is necessary to provide documents as follows:

Business, Commercial, “Scientific & Technical relations,” “Cultural relations,” “Sport relations,” “Negotiations,” and “Technical service” visa, etc.

5. Invitation issued by the Russian authorities of immigration (original form) or Ministry of Foreign Affairs (telegram).

Working visa

5. Invitation issued by the Russian authorities of immigration or Ministry of Foreign Affairs (original form).

6. Labour permission issued by the Russian authorities of immigration & its copy.

“Foreign employee” visa: Accreditation card issued by the Russian Chamber of Commerce & Industry & its copy.

7. Certificate of health examination for international traveler & its copy, (valid for 3 months).

Studying visa

5. Invitation issued by the Russian authorities of immigration or Ministry of Foreign Affairs (original form).

6. Invitation issued by the Russian inviting university (original form).

7. Copy of the studying contract signed with the inviting university.

8. Bank statement as a proof of the applicant’s solvency (original form).

9. High school graduation certificate & its copy.

10. Certificate of health examination for international traveler & its copy (if entry for more than 90 days, valid for 3 months).

Private visa

5. Invitation issued by the Russian authorities of immigration or Ministry of Foreign Affairs (original form).

If Russian citizens’ spouses, children under 18 years or children without capability of working join them to Russia for stay not more than 90 days:

5. Russian citizens’ written statement.

6. Russian citizens’ valid passport & copies of its critical information pages.

7. Certificate of relationship & its copy.

8. Certificate of working capability’s absence & its copy.

Tourist visa

5. Tourist voucher issued by an authorized Russian or foreign travel agency & its copy.

6. Tour conformation issued by an authorized Russian travel agency & its copy.

Transit visa

5. Visa issued by the third country & its copy.

6. Transportation tickets for entire route & its copies.

IMPORTANT NOTICES:

1. In case the Visa Section does not issue the visa, the visa fee is not given back.
2. Air or railway tickets can not be a reason for visa issue.
3. The Visa Section is authorized to request any supplementary documents & information concerning the application.
4. For applicants traveling as a group the complete set of documents should be provided by each person.
5. Applicants must apply only personally or through the organization authorized at the Consulate General.
6. Applicants from “Schengen zone” and Israel should provide medical insurance valid in Russia.
7. Applicants for diplomatic and service-official visas, visas to visit a staff of the foreign diplomatic and consular organization in Russia, visas for special cases, visas can be issued according to the “Agreement between the Russian Federation and the European Community”, etc make inquiry in the Visa Section.
8. Multiple visa holders are limited to overall or continual stay of 90 days during each period of 180 days starting with day of first entry.
9. Children under 18 years, if join parents, should provide certificate of relationship & its copy, and, if traveling without parents, notarized permission from both parents (original form).
